08 Feb Casa Mazzetti, the school of Balsamic Vinegar
There’s a world to discover in every drop of Modena Balsamic Vinegar. This is the essence of Casa Mazzetti’s manifesto, the cornerstone of the activities offered here. It was precisely on this basis, for instance, that the scheme devoted to schools and training centres in Italy and abroad) called “Casa Mazzetti – la scuola del Balsamico” (which is Italian for “Casa Mazzetti, the school of Balsamic Vinegar”) was created. The aim of the project is to teach students of any age about the culture of Modena Balsamic Vinegar, a product that has gained its place on tables across the world. This was done by designing a guided tour consisting of three steps: the first one devoted to the discovery of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO, with its traditions and its history; the second one focuses on the explanation of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI with all its nuances; and the third one is step with a more practical side to it, devoted to tasting. Along the way, students will be given the chance to find an answer to everything they want to know, to see the instruments (both old and new) used to create this product and deploy their senses to learn about the features of each one of them. In a nutshell, a direct and fascinating approach aimed at defining the differences and distinctive features of different and yet unique products and provide future consumers with the right instruments to identify and choose the product that best meets their taste.
