Open Vinegar Cellars

On Sunday 28 December, a day devoted to Open Vinegar Cellars, more than 2000 people stepped into Casa Mazzetti – The home of Modena Balsamic Vinegar, the 10,000 sqm complex created on Acetum’s premises, on the foundations of the renowned Cantine Motta, to get up and close with two iconic local products: Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI. Indeed, during the day dedicated to Open Vinegar Cellars, the structure was officially inaugurated to the public to provide a quick view of some of the activities that, starting from the next few days, can be held inside it: guided tours, tasting sessions, events and school visits, but also corporate meetings and team-building activities. Indeed, versatility is the keyword of this structure. There were many surprises for the occasion: the 5,600 barrels forming the Balsamic Theatre served as the backdrop to the live exhibition of some opera singers. The garden hosted a must cooking demo and, at the end, Casa Mazzetti welcomed the exhibition of the Rulli Frulli Band, teenagers and young people with different skills and perfectly integrated as a group who create and use percussions and musical instruments by employing reclaimed materials from the earthquake that hit the Emilia Romagna region. “It was a great party and we are happy that so many people came to learn more about an excellent local product. Casa Mazzetti will precisely aim to do on this, i.e. welcome visitors and guide them through a tour focusing on culture, Balsamic Vinegar and more in general the local area,” said Acetum AD Marco Bombarda. “Everyone provided their contribution, teamwork ensured this day was successful; this is the spirit of the company and the spirit of Casa Mazzetti,” added Acetum President Cesare Mazzetti.
